Free

The freedom that God offers is so amazing.  When you really know that you are loved and your Abba has good things for you freedom is a result that is always welcome.  Because of what Jesus did for us, we can be truly free from guilt, condemnation, fear, and many other things.

Freedom has many aspects to it, but we’re talking about the freedom to be yourself.  When healing is in place you can begin to accept yourself, take off all the masks and pretending and allow the real you to show up.

Because of all of the trauma in my life it was hard for me to just be myself.  The message was loud and clear, change, don’t be you, don’t cause trouble, you’re not enough.  It’s common to feel like we aren’t enough the way we are, but God knows everything about us and says, You’re Loved!

There are so many things in our lives that can make us feel stuck, bogged down,  and even oppressed.  Everyone has patterns and ways of dealing with life, some that are healthy and some unhealthy. When we are allowing the Love of God to flow freely in our lives, we can then take a look at our unhealthy ways much easier, so that we can overcome them.  When we aren’t truly in a place of knowing we are loved by the Lord, it’s much harder to accept our weaknesses.

The Lord’s heart is that we understand that we are completely accepted, forgiven and loved, just the way we are.  It doesn’t mean we’re perfect, it just means the starting place of freedom is, we’re already okay before Him, today, right now.  The good news is that when we aren’t worried about what’s wrong with us, or how to fix ourselves, we can receive the love and acceptance the Lord offers.

I wish I had known years ago to start with this truth, because it would have saved me so much time and energy.  We aren’t trying to be His beloved, we already are, and then the freedom to be in His presence without fear brings healing.

You are not too much for the Lord!  You are not rejected!  You are not too loud, too quiet, too shy, too outgoing, or too messed up.  You were fashioned by the Lord the way He wants you to be.  He may need to help us grow in areas of our lives, but He comes from the place of acceptance, not rejection.

Be FREE to be YOU!  You are here on purpose, for a purpose, and God does not make mistakes.  When your soul can rest in this truth you’ll be able to find a freedom that brings great peace.
